Your baby is due this month!!

I bet the last few weeks have felt like it's taken months with so much going on as you get closer to your due date. You've probably just realised that you haven't even organised your newborn photos yet!

I get it. Sometimes it's not front of mind, the pregnancy journey isn't always straight forward and work has been full on but one thing is for sure - you know you need special photos of this time.

"what if my baby won't settle?"

They don't have to. Your baby can cry, feed, need a cuddle or decide that sleep is absolutely not happening. We'll slow down, work around them and take our time. I only book one newborn session per day so that you aren't rushed.

"But Won't I be exhausted?"

Probably and I've been there too. I know how much effort it can feel to get yourself, your baby and everything you need out of the house when you're only a couple of weeks postpartum. But I also know this:You won't regret making the effort.

"will I actually want photos of this time?"

One day, yes. Right now you might not realise how beautiful it actually is, that's normal, not a sign you're doing it wrong. Years from now you won't just

see how your baby looked. You'll see how little they were, your family growing in

real time, and the love that was there through all of it.

Let me tell you why it's different here

I'm a mum of two, and I've been photographing families for almost 7 years which means I already know you're probably not arriving at your session feeling fully awake or organised. That's completely fine.

I make you feel welcomed and calm and it's a lot like just catching up with a friend who just happens to have a camera.

With my experience, there's time built into your session for feeding, cuddling and settling because you know, we're dealing with newborns here and they tend to just have a schedule of their own.

Now, although I guide you through it all to get those beautiful soft, close, squishy moments - the best ones are ALWAYS the ones that happen in between the guided moments and that's what I'm always looking for. These are the very moments that you didn't know you wanted and can't live without once you've seen them. That's where the magic actually is.

So, if you want someone who values the same little details and feelings that you do, someone who makes you feel calm, makes you laugh with silly jokes and gives you an overall enjoyable experience, then I am so ready for you.

your relaxed newborn experience

Come in, sit down in the lounge and have a snack before a single photo happens. We'll chat about how you're feeling, how the last few days have actually been then step into the studio where your Client Wardrobe choices await. While you're getting ready, I'll get your baby settled and ready too. This is where I start to actually slow everything right down for you. Once we start, you'll actually have time to notice the tiny details before the fast paced early days blur them all together. Expect lots of cuddles, laughs and maybe a couple of happy tears once you see a sneak peek on the back of the camera. I promise you, you'll leave thinking and feeling that it was like a weight lifted off your shoulders to really slow down and enjoy it for a bit.

A little about investment

Newborn sessions from $650 — digital images, complimentary dress hire from the Client Wardrobe and preparation guides, so you're not googling "what do I need for a photoshoot" the night before.

When is the best time to book my newborn session?

Second trimester, ideally, that way we can plan properly around your due date. Once baby actually arrives, we'll lock in the actual session date together before they're two weeks old.

What if my baby won't settle?

We stop, feed, cuddle, settle and try again when they're ready. Your baby doesn't need to sleep perfectly for the photos to turn out beautifully. I build that time into every session so nothing feels rushed.

What if I'm exhausted?

Honestly, you probably will be. But you don't need to look like you've had eight hours of sleep, or pretend you're feeling amazing. Come exactly as you are, I'll look after you. These photos aren't for right now, they're for the version of you in years to come, looking back at how much love was there through all of it.

What if I've never had professional photos taken?

Completely fine too. I'll guide you into positions that focus on connection, not
performance, and prompt you in ways that get real reactions rather than forced ones. You just need to be there with your baby, I'll handle the rest.

What should I wear?

I'll help you with this prior to your session, so you're not standing in front of your wardrobe at 2am googling "postpartum photoshoot outfits." I've got you and I offer styling advice for your partner too, down to colours and where to actually find them.

What if I need to feed my baby during the session?

Then feed your baby 🤎 No need to apologise or explain, time's already built into your session for exactly this. Your preparation guide, sent before your session, walks you through everything else so you know what to expect.

One day, you'll look back and realise just how little they were.

The tiny fingers.
The sleepy cuddles.
The exact way they fit into your arms like they were made for it.
You'll probably remember how tired you were too.
But you'll remember the love more.
The love that was there in the middle of all the chaos.
And you'll be so glad you slowed down for it.
I'd love to help you remember it.
