"But I'm awkward in photos."

You don't have to know what to do. I'll gently guide and prompt you through the whole experience.

"And I don't feel like myself."

That's something I hear all the time and it's exactly why creating a calm, supportive environment matters so much to me.

"BuT Is it really worth it?"

I truly believe one day you'll be so grateful you did this and will have memories of this time. 40 year old you, will look back and regret not having these memories.

Let me tell you why it's different here

I’m a mum of two little ones, hot chocolate lover and a photographer who’s right there in the thick of motherhood just like you.

I'm not the loud, bossy type. I'm quietly confident and I spend time getting to know you and your family before we meet. I check in properly a few days out and confirm every detail, right down to where the nearest toilet is at your chosen location.

On the day, we just chat like catching up with a friend while I work around you. Nearly 7 years in, I've learned exactly how to guide mums into a pose that flatters the part they're unsure about because I've had those same insecurities myself.

That's where the calm, connected feeling in my photos actually comes from. It's not just luck, it's genuinely knowing the mum in front of my camera.

If you want to be looked after as much as photographed, that's what you'll experience here.

What other mums are saying about their experience

"Nastassjia was lovely to communicate with and made the whole experience enjoyable. She has such a creative eye and gently guides you into flattering, natural photos that feel like you."

Sarah C, Where We Both Begin Experience

"Looking at the photos now, I’m continually struck by how well she captured not just how it looked, but how it felt."

Bron C, Newborn Experience

"She made the process feel easy from start to finish and was so accommodating to our needs. We felt listened to in what moments we wanted captured and what was important to us."

Tonyalee B, Where We Both Begin Experience

your guided maternity experience

You're welcomed in with a smile, a seat and some snacks before any photos are taken. There's a proper chat first, like how you're feeling and how the last few days have been because that calm always shows up in the photos afterwards. Your Client Wardrobe choices are also ready and waiting for you whether you're coming to the studio or meeting on location.

Everything slows right down, especially with a newborn, so you actually notice the tiny details before the early days blur them together. Get ready for lots of cuddles, smiles, genuine moments, laughs and usually a couple of happy tears once you see the gallery. You leave with more than photos - you leave feeling valued and grateful that you chose to slow down to remember it all.
